Our Rectors

In 2020, St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church welcomed the Reverend Doctor Christine Ann “Chrysanne” Timm, an ordained ELCA minister, to serve our parish. Pastor Chrysanne, who has served as solo pastor, associate pastor, head of staff, and interim pastor in urban, suburban, and small-town settings for over 35 years, will share her time between St. Christopher’s and Bethany Lutheran Church. Pastor Chrysanneis a trained church consultant and has studied church renewal in the Anglican Church in London, Manchester, and Sheffield, England. Most recently she served as assistant to the Bishop in the North/West Lower Michigan Synod, ELCA. Pastor Chrysanne and her husband, Craig, reside in Lake Ann.

The Reverend Doctor Thomas Guback, Rector Emeritus for St. Christopher’s, continues to consult and participate in our parish life. Father Tom, formerly a Research Professor of Communications at the University of Illinois, attended the seminary at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin (1997-2000), then served as priest and rector at St. Christopher’s between 2000 and 2007. Following his retirement from the priesthood, Father Tom served as a Diocesan Supply Priest and during our search for our current rector, he supplied regularly at St. Christopher’s. We remain grateful for his assistance and generosity to our parish and his ongoing involvement in our parish life. Father Tom resides in Suttons Bay.
