The Wardens and Vestry, the Rev. Dr. Chrysanne Timm, Rector, and the Rev. Dr. Thomas Guback, Rector Emeritus, have agreed, with guidance from Episcopal and Lutheran Bishops, to suspend Sunday morning services at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church beginning Sunday, March 15th and until such time as it is safe to worship together in person. While services are suspended, Pastor Chrysanne will lead online Morning Prayer services on Sunday mornings beginning at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. You are welcome to join us.

During these challenging times, you are encouraged to read your Bible, reference the Book of Common Prayer for morning prayer and evening prayer services, and for the many prayers suited for all walks of life. Keep in touch with family members and check on your neighbors and those homebound. Pray for all afflicted with the Corona Virus or other health issues, and for healthcare personnel. As it is the season of Lent, pray the collect for Ash Wednesday –
Almighty and everlasting God, who hates nothing that thou hast made, and doth forgive the sins of all who are penitent, create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may obtain of thee, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Our weekly Eucharist Services will resume in the future on Sundays at 9 a.m. All are welcome to join us for the service and for coffee and treats in the parish hall afterwards.
We use the Book of Common Prayer during Sunday Worship. Our service includes readings from scripture, prayers, preaching, and the celebration of the sacraments. Our worship and liturgical life is enhanced by music. St. Christopher’s has a rich heritage of excellent music.
Although our choir is small in number, these talented voices sing to the glory of God and are an integral part of our parish and our service.
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.” -Psalm 100: 1-2.
