Our major outreach ministry is accomplished through our work with Leelanau Christian Neighbors, the non-profit organization that serves our less fortunate neighbors in Leelanau County.
We volunteer, serve on LCN’s Board, and raise funds and needed items through efforts including hosting an annual ecumenical Harvest Dinner to benefit LCN.
Other outreach ministries include:
- Participating in the Piece Maker’s Quilting Guild, an ecumenical group of women who hand-stitch beautiful quilts and donate proceeds from their sales to various charities.
- Hosting a community Lenten Soup Supper.
- Participating in Northport’s Vacation Bible School.
- Walking, donating, and raising funds for Leelanau County’s Annual CROP Walk sponsored by Church World Services.
2016 HARVEST DINNER
St. Christopher’s Annual Dinner to benefit Leelanau Christian Neighbors took place on October 18, 2016. Over fifty people from St. Christopher’s, Bethany Lutheran, St. Gertrude’s, and the LCN Board attended. Donations from attendees were supplemented with moneys from St. Christopher’s budgeted outreach fund to assist LCN with its ongoing mission.
