Monthly Vestry Meeting – Our Vestry meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month  at 9:20 AM in the Parish Hall.  All are welcome to attend.  

The Piece Makers Quilting Group meets every Monday between 1 and 3:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  See Joy Ham or Janet Dickerson for more information.

Important Dates and Upcoming Events:

November 3rd and 4th:  The Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan will hold its 143rd Annual Convention at the Radisson Hotel in Kalamazoo.  Vestry Members Carol Isphording and Marilyn Zimmerman will attend as lay delegates from St. Christopher’s and will given a report on the convention to the parish on Sunday, November 5th during the service announcements.  If you are curious about the Convention Agenda and those items to be decided at the Convention, visit the Diocesan Website (EDWM.org) or ask Carol or Marilyn for more information.  

November 12:  The Vestry has designated Sunday November 12th as Stewardship Sunday. Letters and Pledge Cards for 2018 will be mailed to parishioners and pledge cards should be returned by that day so that the Treasurer and Vestry can plan the parish budget for 2018.  Click on this link to read Father Jim McLean’s Homily on Stewardship given on October 22, 2017:

December 6, 2017:  The parish will hold its annual St. Nicholas Day Dinner in the Double Bogey Room at the Leland Lodge on Wednesday, December 6th.  Cocktails and fellowship will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner (ordered from a lighter fare menu and paid for individually) will follow.  You are welcome to bring guests to this event.  Margie Beers is making arrangements for the party and will have sign up sheets available during coffee half-hour in the near future.  More details will follow.  Please plan to attend!

December 24, 2017:  The Fourth Sunday of Advent.  Our regular Sunday Eucharist Service celebrated by Father Tom Guback will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Father Guback will also celebrate the Christmas Eve Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. on December 24th.  All are welcome!
